Sorry, but no. After the initial lighting on 5/11, we were told to go with white only until further notice. They're all pretty busy, trying to get the building finished and the tenants in.

Not a clue. My only involvement is in making it turn "purple, blue, and pink".

I finally got to tour the Battle House today after lunch. Seriously, that is one of the nicest, most beautiful, lavish hotels I've ever seen. I don't know what was more pleasing; every intricate detail of the hotel, or the friendly staff that was happy we were there. We got our own tour guide who was happy to show us around. The sulight filtered through the dome in the main rotunda like something out of a dream. The [in]famous carpet was beautiful. We went in the second floor of the lobby, the Trellis Room, the elegant Crystal Ballroom, then the eighth floor to the roof where we got spectacular views of downtown and the tower. We went to the Moolight Ballroom, where we were blown away by the size and richness of the decor. We walked to the lobby of the tower. The combination of steel, glass, and Alabama marble made it look like something out of the future. I didn't bring my camera with me because I thought I would feel uncomfortable taking pictures in the hotel and tower, but after experiencing the staff there, I wouldn't hesitate again. Mobile really is lucky to have such an unbelievable block in its downtown.

I would agree about the staff. They were great towards me when I stayed. Something very strange happened. My bellman turned out to be my exact age, go to the same college as me, and actually have the same name as me. I found it quite interesting that Mr. Bronner knew me before I even got there, enough to send someone just like me to grab my bags ...... now thats service.

Great picture I found that ran about a week ago in the Press Register:

I love how you can see through it. Reminds me of that older sunset picture with the Twin Towers.

I like it so much, I think I'll make it my avatar!

Lovely. Such a classic profile.

Once the lighting goes back to colors, think how it'll look on a foggy night

And I'm sure you'll keep us up-to-date on when that will be.

musicisright, i was looking at your pictures from the rsa lighting, and i especially liked the series of four that look like they are taken from beinville square. they're from the exact same angle and distance, and only of the crown, but each one is a different color. now here's my question: do you or anyone else know how to put those four into a square, i.e. one picture containing all four? that would be awesome.

the rainbow colors(purple, blue, pink ) looks great! i really don t see that it would cost that much more money . Hell i'll be there every nite and turn them on free of charge!.....Mobile needs its downtown lights to put on a glow like this. Dallas has a highrise that i think is outlined in a green color.

Music, my offer to make you a large photo mural if you provide the right photo is still good. Do you have a night time photo of the skyline such as the one you did just before the lighting of the RSA? Needs to be your highest resolution because we are talking about an image that can be up to 4' high by however long it needs to be. You and I both will have one mural.

You mean something like this? I did it quickly, but here it is:

I'd also like to make that an animated gif, but I don't have the means to do that.

And Blessed, I am still very interested in taking a picture for you. I've been so very busy at work this past week I haven't even had a chance to go down there. Thank you for your patience.
