I can't wait until the next wave of news on these projects comes out and the goods news is for The Towers and the bad news is for Aura this time around....it's going to be funny watching people start jocking Saca again and ripping Nassi....
I can see it now
"Saca extends option to buy out CalPERS"
Random quote: "What determination by Saca. More developers in this city need to be more like Saca."
"City extends Aura loan for 30 more days"
Insert random Nassi bashing comment quote: "What a joke. He's been saying he's going to breakground for a year and half now. First he says 80 % sold out, then 70%, now 55%?!
....then a week later watch every flip the switch again when the news reverses itself again. This seems to be the pattern over the last 6 months or so.

if it would have been just 1 tower at 50 stories instead of 2, the funding would have been there and we would be watching it grow right now

I don't understand why he doesn't just build one right now....he still has a few hundred buyers and a hotel...I don't see why this can't be funded essential 100% sold, assuming buyers agree to move from Tower II to Tower I. I have to imagine this can still be an option, but has been crossed yet, esp since that was the original plan.
