Sam Assafa (or the planning dept) should request the developer: Can you make it taller?

Every condo association within downtown boundary should be constantly reminded that they do not have air rights at all. Same things apply to nimbys ASSociations as well.

403 is new and BVictor just added it to Emporis (building #bu>297311) and 405 is the address of River Plaza. The poster I saw isn't an add but info for neighbors who had a meeting about it on Wednesday.

Also, yesterday ChicagoShawn and I spoke with the doorman and found out that the garage and it's air rights were offered to the condo association first shortly after the building was converted as well as the retail component of the building. They decided that they didn't want any of it, so they don't really have a leg to stand on in opposing this tower. I actually can't believe how dumb they were. If they would've at least gotten the retail portion it could've subsidized and reduced their association fees.

"Building C going up at the end of Wacker is 1,070', it will have more skyline presence than Trump (although not the notoriety), and it will look much cooler. The CS will essentially be like 2 Trump Towers minus the spire."

If it is 1070 from CCD or park level it would still have a good shot at just breaking 1000ft from upper Wacker.

Wait a second? How do you know this?!? Is this "Building C" the same as the Arquitectronica tower that has been rumored? Or is this something different? Is this a for sure height of 1070'?

Nice catch. I would expect that we're going to see a cluster of like-sized structures as CS becomes a reality. But at any rate, 1070' is a nice number.

I find it hard to believe that the air rights were just offered to them. Perhaps they had a right to purchase it and didn't exercise it. Or perhaps they had them and then the developer sold them, but they wouldn't just offer, out of the blue (so to speak) valuable air rights to a condo board.

If they did just turn down the air rights, this is the dumbest condo board of all time. If I live in River City, I call my lawyer and see if I can sue the board for damages.

yea at ul Wacker, I have the rendering-it's very beautiful and the base, pretty awesome. but will let my bosses release it to emporis when it's ready (ie. after Aqua is sold),

If that's what the official height comes out to be (or anything above 1000') I'll be pleased. LSE needs at least one supertall, and I think we get screwed on a lot of buildings that are 70-80 floors but are ~800' or less.

Cool info on the Wabash building. I vaguely remember someone talking about that project on this forum many months ago, but now we have renderings.
