You guys can blame me for the mess, I started the bummed out comment and probably got this going, sorry guys, it is just hard everytime I see a photo of what could have been, ya know. That Scraper was 2 DIE 4 IMHO and now it's as if it has been dwindled down to a tarded version... SORRY GUYS Don't let me get anyone else down in the dumps like myself...

Ok, take a look at this building that was done in Austin (San Anton, damn it's all the same thing in Texas)...called the Frost Bank Building..It's only 33 stories...

Now tell me...what is wrong with a short building?

Why is it so hard to believe that Teatro would start this month?? They've received financing, sold the Hotel Teatro, plus who knows how many people puit down $10k as a sales deposit. In addition, their website says Spring 2007 construction and every other place I've seen stuff about the tower it keeps saying Spring 2007 for construction start.

I was in town two weeks ago, and being the geek that I am about all of your posts, I always run around downtown and check out what's happened since my last visit.

I popped into the Teatro's sales office and saw the scale model they had. (The door says "No Solicitors" but I figured I came in from SLC so why not?) It still looks great! It has a nice spire and great height for that part of downtown.

I'm very hopeful for this one and all of the other great projects going on in my hometown. I think many of you are way too close to the action and don't appreciate how much has changed in the four years I've been away. Stay positive! Get excited! You live in a beautiful city regardless!

And. . .if Ken is right, April could be a very exciting month.

Yeah Junkie I'm familuar with the Frost Tower, the thing is the "spire" portion on Teatro is now as simple as a freakin STICK! Wow isn't that something? 65-50 Storys is where that tower needs to be in order to look right in my opinion, especially for the design. But hey on the bright side a surface lot will become much, much more...

Unfortunately, they have not even submitted a building permit application. Any construction would still be at least 6 months away, if they submitted tomorrow.

So what's the usual timeframe when a land development case shows up in Denvergov? They submitted their initial application on 2/7/07. Sorry I guess I dont understand the whole permitting process. Why submit a request for lane closures in April??? Doesn't make sense to me.
