^^^
it's the Broadgate tower, just on the northern boundary of the City. Quite a sexy project if you ask me. And decent enough when it comes to height (161m)

Looks like London is a veritable forest of building cranes!

Came back to enjoy the pictures again.

It seems after a long period of silence this and next year will be crucial to the skyline of London with many tall projects seemingly going ahead. Then again, it's not like other "competitors" were sleeping... there are loads of ultra-sexy and sophisticated structures rising or planned all the way from Madrid and Paris to Warsaw, so m guess is London just doesn't want to lag behind

I presume you are talking of Canary Wharf and the City. Actually central London has always had two centres: Westminster/West End (centre of politics, government, entertainment, shopping, nightlife, general business - the main centre) and the City of London (the original Roman centre and now a concentration of financial services). Canary Wharf comes in addition to that.

Great photos as always Jonas.

They are taken from Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath. It's a famous place
Otherwise you may get to Alexandra Palace (not too far from Hampstead, btw) or Greenwich hills whic have got a rather nice view as well.

Here's an older thread of mine from Greenwich: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=121986
