Man SLC, it is slooooooooooow this afternoon. I don't think you missed any.I guess St. George proper would easily be the next in the state to top 100,000 plus at the rate its going. I think Orem will be the next within the Wasatch Metro, then hopefully Ogden will continue it's current trend and hit 100,000 soon. I guess Layton could go over 100,000 soon also. What's another one that is going to hit 100,000 in the near future?

Maybe Lehi the way it's growing and with all the new projects going on. But that would take awhile.

Maybe south Jordan with it's daybreak project.

I wonder what the build out capacity is on some of these cities? I'm thinking Lehi will reach approx. 50,000 by 2010. I had forgotton about Daybreak's impact. Now, How much of Daybreak will be counted as South Jordan and how much West Jordan ,etc?

Both West and South Jordan won't built up for awhile since there's still tons and tons of land on the westside of the valley. There's no telling just how big both these cities can get. Still alot of room to build out.

its the new US couthouse to be built just west of the Moss Courthouse. Replacing porto call.

its amazing what a bit of light can do to a rendering....lol

The Frank E. Moss Courthouse can no longer meet the expanding needs of the US Federal Courts and will be replaced by a new courthouse located on the same site. Initial site studies were completed in 2004 and the design process has begun. The U.S. District Courthouse will house the US District Court, US Probation ad the US MarshalÕs Service. The site will be three acres and encompass the entire block between 300 and 400 South and Main Street and West Temple. It will be 367,188 square feet and include nine district and five magistrate courtrooms with chambers and office support spaces. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2009 and to be completed in 2011.

No word on the hieght. But it appears to be around 10 stories.

I'm pleasantly surprised! Much, much better than the other rendering--I really like the glass, and texture of the exterior wall. I still disagree with the basic principles this project is being designed under however, the lack of respect for historic structures and small businesses, and the grinding pace of it coming to fruition.

I'm with you Jmonkey! Good thing they relented and will move the Odd Fellows Hall across the street. The Odd Fellows is NON-NEGOTIABLE in my book. It's has to be one of the most attractive old facades in the West. This building front serves as an inspiration to me to someday build more of the same vintage appeal.
