Good god am I sick and tired of the *&^%shit you put on this forum COLDRSX. Maybe, instead of putting all of your "dream proposals" on this thread, you could open one called "Edmonton- buildings that I would like to see built" instead of plugging this one up.

I am a very to the point kind of person and I call it like I see it. There are several people on here that think the same thing but are too scared to say something. I am not one of these people and I think it's quite ridiculous, please stop it !!!!! If you have actual, factual information to contribute, great !!!

I have no problem with Coldrsx posting buildings that he thinks should be in Edmonton.

That's a nice one, Cold.
I believe that Edmonton's next office tower (Melcor, Oxford, Dundee?) is likely to be in that size range (I hope I'm wrong and it's taller), but that rendering shows that a 15-story building can also be very well designed and pleasing to the eye and not be just a glass cube.

The UA has 10,000 employees - but practically only about 1000 could be relocated to the Core - which means Administrative functions. But UA is already exploring redevelop of Dent Pharm on Campus for this functional group. Perhaps the folks at Alberta Infrastructure will move downtown and the University Administrative types could move into the Neil Crawford complex- as it is on UA South Campus. Or it could be NAIT on the go to move "UpTown". GMCC and the School Bopards do not have that many Admin employees.

^ I like the buildings that he posts. I wish they were going to be built in Edmonton, it's nice to see what else is out there. I wish people would take that knot out of their tighty whities and enjoy all posts in good taste.

Would love for the province to move downtown from the Neil Crawford, but thats not happening. I have heard tonnes of times that people have approached the province to move downtown and they did not want to everytime.

I wish that this was in the cards with development of the south campus but that is a long time from now if ever (considering the Neil Crawford employees would fill up a decent sized tower downtown and that alone will get a Manu 2 up.

okay i got a stupid question.... wouldnt those employees be housed in the existing institutional facility? It wouldnt be much of an educational institution if all the employees picked up and moved to another site.

ummmm... What the hell is this?

http://www.artisthakli.com/musson1edmtbig.htm

This illustration was created for Musson Cattell & Partners in Vancouver, B.C. for a proposed project in Edmonton, Alberta and is one of two that were created in very early stages of design development.

Like others on the main page, these too were created first as free hand line drawings and then later rendered in water colour.

None of the above

It's an institution that is not officially based here, but most of it's staff are here. It currently occupies very little space - i'm not sure where- and would likely move to a 'B' type location.
