It's done except for Richards and Drake where this building construction has been occupying multiple lanes for years.

The project was initially its own initiative with the same design features as Richards St (rain gardens, full street rebuild with raised cycle track) but was down-scoped to a quick build standard as costs increased through covid. Then it was coupled up with the Granville Connector project, but unfortunately due to this development at Richards/Drake, has yet to fully open. Looks like soon though!

Thanks.
Looks like they finally have some cladding up the side on the elevator core, although it looks plain white (?)

The panels on the lower part of the facade look like pale grey polished marble, but the patterns repeat so I suspect it's actually a glazed tile.

Thanks.
Marble would end up deteriorating over time, so tile makes sense.

A simple restrained palette of materials is being proposed to reflect the architectural program of the
Jamatkhana and the residential units above.High quality durable materials include metal panel wall cladding and soffits, coloured spandrel glass and decorative geometric laser cut metal screens.

Large format porcelain slab “limestone like” panel cladding on the podium serves as a counterpoint to the screen that are suspended above the main lobby.

A pattern of round coloured glass openings in the stairwell wall facing Drake St will provide further animation to the façade when lit at night from within
