Looks like they're starting to do Floor 8 (photo from yesterday)

Thanks for the update.

This tower will start to stand out in the skyline by Xmas.

Kelowna already has a beastly tower in the Eli, it's the same height as Winnipeg's tallest building which is crazy since Kelowna is almost a quarter the population of Winnipeg. Even though Kelowna is only about half the population of Victoria, it's skyline handily rivals it

The benefits of being landlocked in a valley surrounded by lakes, mountains, and protected agricultural land. Can only densify from here on out. Very few greenfield lots remain with development potential.

On a sidenote about UBCO. It doesn't look like they can add any more floors until the crane is raised. I expect the crane to double in height in the near future.

I noticed they had more lengths for the mast on site today, should be raising it very soon.

This is great news. The more hotels downtown and by the water is exactly what is needed. There hasn’t been a new hotel built downtown, or near the lake, in decades.

Victoria is also quite landlocked, and quite a bit more expensive. We briefly considered Victoria as an exit strategy if Alberta separates, but Kelowna has a wide selection of single family homes (sorry, happy wife...) under a million dollars within a 30 minute bike ride from downtown or Landmark District. I'm looking at 60+ minutes in Langford in the Victoria area.
