Opening of the former office building at Richmond and Mill into residential with hints of additional projects in the future by the "Landlord".

Well its a start with regards to the landlord, lets hope he continues to do this. These types of conversions are great as many of these older office buildings are not set up well for new business' to even occupy the space.
At that point you may as well convert to residential or knock it down for a bigger development in potentially prime location.

Mentions the failed attempt at Richmond and Dundas happening again. Wonder which of the many other empty buildings are on his list?

Wright building, Scotts building, Market Tower, RBC building?

This is true, and while that stinks...if it gets something built it might be the only way to push them along.

Good news to see another commercial to residential conversion project.

A downtown heritage building is getting a makeover, transitioning from office to residential use in a $7-million redevelopment.

The Wyatt Building at 300 Dundas St. will be converted into 17 apartments after receiving financial support from the city, said owner Brad Lamb, a Toronto real estate developer with BJL Properties and Lamb Development Corp.
This is immediately to the west of Drewlo's high rise building.

I wonder when or if the two buildings 388 Dundas and the Fred Astaire Dance studio a block east on the NW corner of Dundas and Colborne will be converted or better yet demolished and replaced with some nice high rise towers? They have been mostly vacant now for some years and are likely to go up in flames in the future.

Although much more work is needed to meaningfully address London's housing crisis, 300 units in the downtown core is a fairly substantial development. Here's hoping they're brought online quicker than the two to three years predicted in the CTV article.

Steel wall framing for the apartment units in the former bank building at the NE corner of Richmond and Dundas can now be seen thru the upper floor windows. Good too see progress on converting this into residential housing.

Will the landlord finally move ahead with the conversion of the Wright building to residential?

Let's hope so.

It's not going to be as easy as the building at Pall Mall and Richmond. The Wright building will need ALOT of work and modifications to bring it up to code.

The Wyatt Building at 300 Dundas St is getting all new windows as they have removed the old windows and are gutting the interior. Hopefully they don't run into any serious structural challenges in the renovation into residential from office space.

I really hope that (at least the facade of) this building can be saved. I don't have a lot of hope, though, given that Farhi is the owner. But then again, he owns everything.
