According to a report being presented to Kamloops council Tuesday (Sept. 1), the owner of 640 Lorne St. had a development permit approved for a new six-storey, mixed-use building featuring 22 studio, 54 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom units. The proposal also features commercial space, an attached outdoor patio for residents, 103 parking spaces and 116 bicycle spaces.
The City of Kamloops notes that off-site improvements along Lorne Street – such as
sidewalk bump-outs with street trees, paver band on the sidewalk and decorative street lighting to match existing lighting on Lorne Street – will occur at the building permit stage.
