Would be especially interesting to see pictures of the interior of the original museum building during this redevelopment. Moreover, it would be nice to get a photo from the rooftop, which will be a popular location to visit for both visitors and residents of NB alike.
Speaking of views, imagine the sight of a ferry or water taxi connecting the peninsulas of Uptown, Douglas Avenue, and the West Side. Or how about bike lanes flowing with people moving between Uptown and the New Museum on city bikes?
I hope the city and province have a solid plan to better connect the New Brunswick Museum with the rest of the city, and the rest of the world, as a lot of money is being invested to connect the Museum with the Harbour Passage system, yet I haven’t heard anything about millions being invested into bike sharing stations along the Harbour Passage for the new museum.
Along with investing in a better bus route for the museum, a bike sharing system pilot program would probably be one of the best bang for buck investments that government could get pursue in terms of better connecting the new, New Brunswick Museum with the surrounding city. I hope government can consider investing in a bike sharing system that better connects people with Canada’s oldest, and newest museum.
