I thought this project was killed a while back. Also they have the massing for the now cancelled Portman project on Ponce. Are these renderings old or do they know something we dont know?

This is the rendering they presented to the zoning board last week. It likely just means that this was designed when the Portman project was still active.

Selig is a long-term player. They think and invest in terms of decades, not years.

Its a shame. Hopefully that Portman project will be revived by them or another developer in the near future. This area is begging for more density. If only they would run the streetcar up the beltline and then down ponce and connect it to Marta at North Ave.

I wonder why they are pushing forward with this project now instead of 7 or 8 years ago when development was real hot and interest rates were low.

Could be existing leases.

More likely, they're just entitling the project and have no intention of building immediately.

Per Urbanize Atlanta, the approximately 100 unit condo development is planning to break ground in the fourth quarter of this year.
