Excellent! CG Group is really putting on the afterburners for the Franklin Yards.

It makes you wonder if they are planning for completion by the end of 2927.

Thanks for the update.

Casa Latina is not the only project in downtown that seems to have ground to a halt. Both Borsch House and Soika European Grocery at the Three Sisters are extremely slow as well, with only intermittent spurts of activity. I suspect subcontractor problems. There has also been an electrician strike locally as well. Very frustrating.

Does anyone know if Resolute Living is planning anything for the 2-story office building property they bought on Lutz St? I'm not sure if they bought it to use it as an office or to demolish it and build something else. They are now done with the Quinn Court development in Riverview, so I'm just wondering if they're going to keep developing in the GMA.

The main floor of the building is currently used as their head office. They updated the 2nd floor and it's offered for lease through Cushman & Wakefield.

It doesn't appear as though they will be redeveloping this property any time soon.

The one thing I'd like to see them do is go back to 10 floors on their next project. That was their original plan with the West Gate building.

They have started working on the 3rd floor out of 5 at 45 Lewis St.

A small thing to be considered by Moncton PAC:

Doiron and LeBouthilier Holding Inc. is proposing a medical clinic and two residential units at 275 Universite Ave (PID 00684829).

The purpose of the proposed Municipal Plan amendment, being By-law Z-122.19, is to amend the Future Land Use Map from Neighbourhood (NH) to
Mixed Use Centres and Corridors (MUC).

The application also involves an amendment to the Zoning By-Law, being By-law Z-222.68 to rezone the property from Multiple Unit Dwelling (R3) Zone to the Mixed Use (MU) Zone

They were discussing this on "city issues" on the CBC Moncton morning show today. Another issue is that the proposal wants to have fewer than the normally requested parking spaces normally required for such a business.

This proposal continues a long series of conversions and new construction on Universite Avenue creating space for medical practices and group specialty clinics for physicians affiliated with the Hopital Georges-L Dumont.

Does anyone know how they're coming along with the refurbishment of the Crowne Plaza? I don't usually travel through that area of the city, so I can't really check on it. From time to time I take a peek at the city webcam, and I don't see that anything has happened - at least on the front of the building.

They have removed a good portion of the cladding from the rear of the building, but I don't check very often so I'm not sure how active the site is. It seems very slow though. It could be that this project is more complicated than it appears at face value.

I think they may be doing repairs to the brick work that is behind the cladding and that is what is taking so long.

The renders that we saw before show a very nice overall look. It'll be a big improvement when it's finally completed.

If they are repairing the brick to the Crown Plaza, too bad they are covering up brick with that new cladding. Anybody have any photos of that brick?

I believe this initial iteration of the hotel burned down. The current building is a replacement.
