Nice new coffee shop, called Forecast, opened up in the alley behind Shaketown / Copper penny. They roast their own beans and it looks rather nice in side. I really like North Van alley culture

Been there forever Sushi Bella shut down, Lonsdale and 2nd.

A new Vietnamese place Lua is opening up next to the Hertz on top of Shoppers Drug Mart. That place seems to change hands every 5 years or so. Looking forward to a new Vietnamese place !! Phonetic Social is quite good but do wish their vermicelli bowls were better.

In the quay the Brazilian place thats been in the Quay pop up test kitchen pop up shop now has a permanent location in the south east most corner of the food area

I just found out about Forecast yesterday. Really wild because I am used to being in the know and I had no idea they were going into that alley space. I have quite enjoyed them ever since I visited their (original?) location in Function Junction in Whistler. Good fresh food and nice interiors.
