Cannot wait for this one to open up. Getting forced to Scott Road just to get onto Highway 17 westbound is dumb.
Equally dumb was the decision to remove the Scott Road Extension that would have provided a direct connection from the new bridge to Highway 17 eastbound. I hate that every time I want to head into Langley I get blocked up on King George at Bridgeview. Absolutely bin-on-head move to keep that as the only way to get to Highway 17 eastbound.
I like how it literally says Stalewasem on the bridge but they still insist on giving it two names for some reason.

I noticed the digital signs on Hwy 1 use "Sta'le'wasem" because they don't have the right font, and don't say Riverview because there isn't space.
Finally had the chance to drive over it the other day in both directions. What's up with the weird zig-zag at the south end leaving Surrey? Line painting and barrier arrangement looks permanent.

Seems like they are still doing work on the west (?) side of those lanes so it'll be more straight when they complete that work.

Planning an update this weekend, after they open Columbia on ramp. On the south approach they've done a lot of work, I can see Ben open in September-October.
It narrows there because that was occupied by the concrete abutment of the old bridge. They were only able to remove it once the new bridge was opened. They are working on finish the abutment for the new bridge, at which point the road will be straightened once it is to its final width.

Plus there was the fire which certainly delayed work there by a few months.
