And yet it was a record for attendance.

With the popularity of F1 currently, they would have had to fuck up big time to not set a record.

Great race weekend. Sucked to see Russell DNF as it looked the weekend lined up for him.

I think the cooler weather is a nice change to the typical hot locations and summer races. They need to change their car set-up accordingly.

A shame that we didn't see the two Mercs battle it out all the way home.

How was the vibe in the city with this happening at the same time the Habs are in the playoffs?

Kimi is unreal.

Poor George.

Martin is a gem with his 'don't push me' and comments about MD and KZJ after the Kim K. snub.

That speed gun ran the day.

Wild reinstatement of Gasly's podium/points. This could have ramifications for further "lawyering" of post-race results going forward.

Currently getting ready for the Spanish GP and curious about how big of a factor tire wear is gonna be. I think it will be significant and could lead to some interesting pit strategies.

Also: Stroll outqualifies Alonso for the first time in 42 tries. LOL. Asked by a reporter how it feels and he bluntly replies "I don't give a s*&t." Like... what do you expect him to say? They're 21/22 instead of 22/21 in the absolute worst car on the grid.

Going to be a fun second half of the season by the looks of it.

Silverstone should be interesting.

Looking forward to a more consistent schedule, the first half of the season was pretty fractured with the cancelled races in the middle east.

Not F1, but man did they F up in Markham for Indy. Friday track not ready so everything pushed to today.

Many fans talking about very little around it, lack of seating, no shade.

But year 1, so hope that improves.

But what a misstep.

Poor Max, but hell-of-a-drive by Lando.

Special marks for Alonso.

Yup. Terrible way to say goodbye to Zandvoort for him.
Lando is getting his groove back. I was pretty stoked for Alonso too. Given that this track was not particularly suited to the AM, I was pleasantly surprised and it shows what the car (even in this down-powered state) could be capable of. I'm hoping at least Q2s are more common from now on, we'll see.

Amazing drive by Kimi and I am genuinely feeling bad for George now as he is doing everything right and yet a phenom comes along who was supposed to be his mentee and well yeah.

I can't wait for this weekend. If F3 was any indication, anything can happen.

...but probably a lot of SCs and VSCs...

I know it's year one, but that track SUCKS.

It's very clear to me that racing is now second to the showcase and little to do with a showdown.

Blah
