Are there provisions in the Canada Line tunnel for the future 57th and 33rd avenue stations?

There are level sections of track long enough for a station to be built, just as there was on the elevated section for Capstan. There isn't a station box.

Edit: whoops, I missed that jollyburger posted the Translink notice on the previous page

Oakridge-41st Avenue Station faces more early closures as construction work on expansion continues into 2027

I guess summer 2026 was always going to be too ambitious.

As far as I know, there was a trench dug from King Edward south, wide enough for two tracks, they put a lid on, and reinstated the road. The only place they dug out a station box was at 41st, and at Langara. This blog photographed the construction in detail.

No. They'd need to jackhammer or blast solid rock next to the tunnel.
Probably would have to be separate entrances for each platform as I doubt there's space above for a mezzanine
and you probably wouldn't want to mine under the tunnel for a passage.

EDIT: You can see in this pic that the tunnel doesn't look deep enough for a cross passage above it.
The worker is standing on the roof of the tunnel.

I'm pretty sure this is right at Cambie & 33rd Ave.
Note the 3 trees to right of centre (16 years of growth).

I assume only the section near QE Park would have issues with rock?

There's a bunch of documents for the Canada Line on EPIC (you just need to filter through all the emailed comments from the public)

Yeah, Queen E Park's sunken garden is an old quarry.
Little Mountain is an old volcanic cone of some sort.

You can see the rock outcropping on Cambie at W35th in front of (and underneath) the heritage Milton Wong House, now protected as part of a recent Pennyfarthing Homes project.
