Hopeful news about the soil test drilling application. Would assume that also includes ground water testing. Hopefully the sidewalk closure happens in the coming weeks and they get their drill cores tested quickly and find no surprises. Likely means they still haven't got their detailed site plan application approved by the city thou which would lead to a demolition permit and eventually a building permit.
I drove by this property yesterday and there were pylons blocking the parking, the parking metres had been covered and an area sectioned off. I assumed that the soil testing is starting. Good sign of future work on a great project
Soil testing is all that is happening right now. I assume demolition of the buildings would come next and who knows the timeline after that. The developer was a Western grad who wants to build in university towns like London, Guelph and Kingston.
Looks like the soil testing drill rig has completed it's work on the Richmond St side. Off to the lab now to get the engineering reports written up for the architect and structural engineering contractors so they can finalize the detailed site application paperwork for City approval.
