I see the Yolks on Davie and Burrard had to replace their wooden patio with something more closely resembling a minimum security prison. Not surprising given the area. There was a junkie in the throes of some kind of seizure on the steps of Mugen Sushi across the street.

The proximity to that bank atrium/covered area that's infamously dicey probably doesn't help things.

I wonder if the impending closure of St.Pauls will make the area any better? Though there will still be the complete shitshow that is the Murray Hotel nearby.

I see them working hard on getting the Holy Shakes open soon on Granville in that fast food block toward Nelson, looking forward to that, their menu looks intriguing

noticed that the Taco Belll there is 24 hours, and that Chai spot says coming soon too

Pur & Simple in Burquitlam opens August 26th. Should do well the area is so busy these days, so many people and no other option for brunch really, unless you head south to Lougheed TC area.

the renovation at 666 Burrard will include a restaurant with patio space and a renovated JJ Bean
Did it ever have a restaurant space in it? I don't recall there ever being one.

I think the restaurant is going in the area where the Canadian Western Bank branch was located?

How utterly unoriginal, but not out of character for downtown.
