The more I look at them, the more I like it. I just thought the previous renderings had a nice interface with Richmond Yards.
Big fan of these, they look great and very glad for the revision as they'll be highly visible from most parts of the HRM. With two towers instead of three, does this represent a net loss in rental units?
AllNS reported on this a few months ago, I don’t remember the exact numbers but it was a significant drop in units maybe from like 900 to ~600 or around there. They had the new rendering at that time as well.
A big part of the redesign was probably right-sizing for the current market. 2 towers probably is safer than 3 in this market. 900 units is a lot to bring online at one time, especially with many other large developments around the city going up.
I like this design equally as much as the previous one, for different reasons.
It looks better than the old rendering. The new rendering is a bit strange with seemingly AI-hallucinated backdrop buildings, and it's missing the real 9 storey building next door.

The angle of the top floors being stepped back is slightly reminiscent of Olympia in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. Those smaller floor plates at altitude make for very expensive penthouse possibilities. Arvin liked this one, though I am just as taken with the presenter and her hilarious French accent:
It is a nice addition to the skyline. Slender and curvy at the top is a nice break from a square block.
I've seen some great pictures of the "North End skyline" from from Bedford Basin side. There's quite a bit of elevation gain around there, and these buildings are fairly tall. This might end up being a more classic, skyscraper-ish skyline than downtown.
