You see this is a huge problem in the culture of New York though:

"It was a chop shop scrapyard or post-arson rubble lot before so the next best thing must be wonderful, right?"

Huge problem???

What would make you think that Related and Sterling would do anything but clean, cookie cutter type buildings here? They are 100% permanent affordable housing for households earning 30% to 120% of the Area Median Income.

It's exactly what I would expect.. no incentives for the developers to go above and beyond in architecture, materials, etc.. clean and purposeful units and buildings.. that's it.

They look completely normal. What exactly were you expecting?

They’re actually nicer than many market rate buildings in the city, as far as that goes.
