The 3 year figure isn't quite right, the foundation and underground parking level work only started in the second half of 2024, so about 24 months ago, and the steel was late last spring. The pilings were in almost a year before that, but there was still a lot of site and wharf infrastructure work going on by the city and its contractors at that time and that held up the building construction starting.
It's tough to compare this building time to other sites because of the complexity of the concurrent upgrades to the seawall and wharf, it's quite different than just building on a typical lot somewhere that isn't on reclaimed land on the ocean.
