If not at #3 it's definitely top five. I remember my grandparents taking me to games growing up and just being in awe at the sheer size of the stadium and seeing Downtown through the glass. Watched the roof open up a few times.

The possibility of a MLB stadium seems too far off for the chance of being at the Statesman site. I always envisioned one being on the land UT owns all along Lake Austin, but that itself seems too far fetched..would make Austin sooo picturesque though.

Anywho, I moved all Dog's Head talk to it's dedicated topic.

Depending on the angle of the shot for those not familiar with Austin. From the north and south, I think dt looks gappy. Pretty impressive from the east, but most impressive and deceptively dense looking from the west. Imo of course.

Great Video. It really shows the need for more public transportation. That traffic nightmare is why I dont go to many of these events.

The fireworks looked a bit cheapy. The video and music was great, but the fireworks in the video weren't. My neighborhood put up a better show.

Ha. Same here. Someone in my subdivision put on an extensive and quite impressive display. People from blocks away were out in their front yard watching it.

This seriously deserves to be the Wiki panorama. It may be the best one ever produced, and could only be made better by being extended slightly westward to show the nearby hills (and a lens/editing to make them appear more dramatic).

When I 1st moved here in the late 80's I thought the city's skyline was akin to Omaha's. Now it's like Miami or SF Or Seattle. More height then most but still not very dense. That's fine. I like it, I'm sorta surprised it went this vertical!

The unintended beauty of the CVC overlay. However I feel the city government needs to lay off of imposing height restrictions, though I hear there is still a way to go higher, it makes it more difficult for developers to do so.
