The Planning and Environment Committee (PEC) voted unanimously on a zoning proposal to pave the way for the construction of the subdivision, which would cover a large area and include a mixture of low-, medium-, and high-density residential areas.

This would be a decades long build out to see it fully built out and no doubt will see alot of adjustments during that time.

The proposal includes a large swath of land near where Bostwick, Wonderland and Wharncliffe roads converge, at 3080 and 3514 Bostwick Rd., 1875 Wharncliffe Rd. S., and 3341 Wonderland Rd. S.

While the final subdivision plan could change, the new zoning would permit approximately:

735 low-density homes, including detached houses and townhouses.
1,210 medium-density units, such as low-rise apartment buildings.
Up to 3,070 high-density units, including high-rise apartment buildings.
