Crazy hot to hoodie weather in a couple days, gotta love Alberta. Was 35 on the weekend and was 10 when I woke up this morning. Letting as much cold air into the house as possible before the heat comes back lol.

Some fresh snow on the mountains around Jasper this weekend.

Talking with a friend that was on the fire line for 3 days west of Kamloops. They are jumping on any new hot spots so that they don't get away from them.

No smoke in our area but watching the fires rip through central BC and the PNW is tough. As of today over 700 homes are gone in Spokane, I don't have the numbers for around Okanogan lake but it appears high.

And here , any time we have a wind now I have to pick up branches that were damaged in the last few storms.

Temps this weekend were pogoing around, 30, 16, 22, 24 and rain one day.

Watching a live feed from Martindale Pond in St Catharines this weekend, That was quite the rain.

We are in the low to mid 20s all week with more rain on the weekend.

Woke up confused to overcast skies, as the forecast was for sunshine. I think it is all smoke haze.

28C with a humidex of 33 and sunny. Much needed after 3 straight day of almost non stop cloud cover which for summer is nuts.

Low of 16C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 34.0C

Warmest low yesterday was Doaktown, NB at 19.7C.

27C (humidex 33) and sunny in Moncton at noon time, going up to 33C this afternoon.

There is a new city webcam on the 20th floor of Assumption Place in downtown Moncton, pointed towards the east:

The new 30 storey Infinity Tower will soon start construction in the top centre of this image (next to the red Staples building). This camera will give an excellent vantage as construction progresses.

Shockingly we got another thunder storm last night, It rained until about midnight.

On my drive to the Base this morning I saw some more downed trees. I think they are dropping now because the ground is so soft.

And I feel sorry for the crew building a 200meter section of Multiuse trail. I pass by every morning and see them pumping out water. This should have taken a week of 2 to build but with all the rain they just get started and have to drain the site or replace the fill.. Been 2 months now.

The area looks lush though. Best I've seen the area in a few years. Nice and hot the rest of the week but forecast for Rain on Sunday. Again.

Hopeing the cycle stops soon. The Marathon is on the 16th and I would like to stay dry.

Edmonton is probably going to double the previous record for wettest summer, crazy considering how dry we have been!

Don't recall, no time to look into it. We had a very rainy July, but the rest of summer was fairly dry last year.

30C with a humidex of 34 and sunny.

Gorgeous day and evening

Low of 18C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 35.7C.

Warmest low yesterday was Eskasoni, NB and East Point, PEI at 20.4C.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how the tide will eventually turn (because it's incredibly abnormal how bad the weather has been in the last 10 months compared to normal) and it will be something the world has rarely seen. Well things are starting to become clearer. After experienced record early start to winter, a record late spring, this balancing act is bound to happen.

Update: This "Super El Niño" will be perhaps the strongest in 500 to 1000 years, and could legitimately be the most extreme global weather or climate event experienced by humanity since the invention of the printing press. Only more extreme situation is a volcanic winter.
