Looks a bit narrow or is that just the angle?

It would be welcome though as many of the trolley routes are on compact older streets in the core. Buses regularly occupy 2 lanes or make it difficult or impossible to pass.

Optical mirrors rarely stop functioning and take the bus out of service. Sometimes simple is better.

I've got no problem with supplemental cameras to cover blind spots. But reliability demands the least failure-prone solutions for the most critical systems.

My Chevy Bolt has a camera-based rear view mirror with a wider angle of view, but you just have to flip the little tab at the bottom down to get the regular optical mirror instead. I actually find myself using the optical mirror more often as it doesn't get obscured by rain or bright lights at night.

Commenters seem correct in that OP is either a Karen or making things up; the kids I've seen are unnecessarily loud, but stationary.

I've experienced both (mostly on Skytrain). It's generally been during a short trip for me so I don't bother saying anything.

I wonder if it'll have any more effect than any of the other transit etiquette campaigns they've done over the years. I still miss the 'please allow passengers to leave the train' message that used to play with every upcoming station announcement - that had more of an impact than any of these campaigns they've done since then.

While I'm in grumpy curmudgeon mode (

) I think the one that annoys me the most is even when they wait, many people crowd outside the Skytrain door when it stops on the platform - so people have to push by them to leave. In the past I messed with a few people by taking a step outside the door and then stopping, which has forced them to take a step to the side so I can continue walking. I might have to do that again...

I usually stand in front of the doors when I'm about to get off, fully visible to the people on the platform, and yet I've still experienced people standing right in front of the door.

I do this too, 90% of the time they get out of the way. If not, a nice loud "let people off before you get on" usually does the trick, with the fall back being walking right into them if necessary.
