I had a look into 2027 and:
- ORD is listed at 2x E75 only through to the end of the current booking window on 29JUN27.
- EWR goes from 2x to 4x daily E75 on 27MAR27
- IAD goes from 2x E75 to 3x CR5 on 27MAR27 - frequency increase, but a 4 seat/day further cut.

Evidently next spring's schedule is still a ways off and will likely change before then. I wonder if the ORD cut has anything to do with UA and AA overscheduling at ORD on top of a weak transborder market? The new UA regional routes were delayed until the fall. The modest transborder gains of the past three months look like they'll be short-lived come Q4.

Do you think they just have not loaded up the full schedule yet for summer 2027? I was checking the UA schedules for both YHZ and YQB and neither of them have any ORD flights loaded yet. For 2026 they both have daily ORD flights. I know the loads on the YHZ-ORD flights are usually 90+% so it baffles me that they have nothing loaded for 2027. All I can think of is that they have had to rationalize their routes based on they cuts to the ORD flight capacity.

It's highly likely the ORD schedule loaded past 26MAR27 will not be the end result. It's even possible there will still be changes to the winter schedule. It'll be interesting to see what kind of loads YOW-ORD's pulling this summer with the mainline departure factored in.

Remote stand gates 40 and 41 were used this morning to handle YHU diversions from YYT and YHZ. Guess they had a thunderstorm pass through.

PD is teasing a big announcement for August 11th on their platforms. My guess is YXU-YOW/Sun destinations.

Probably not this year. I remember seeing CUN on that map (then taken down a week later) a year before it was officially announced. Must have been an oops moment, but I feel like that happens a lot on their site.

Does Mexico City even have decent slots available time wise at MEX?

Even WestJet had to take a slot that lands at 3 am since they couldn't find a day time slot, and they work with AeroMexcio.

The stickers in their video say "Something little is coming", that doesn't really scream route announcement to me. I don't recall them having any sort of build up to schedule announcements in the past, so I would be surprise if they did ten days of build up for announcing YXU service.

The stickers say little. I guess we’ll find out what that means, but the caption says “a small sign of something big coming”. Hoping it has something to do with YOW but my gut feeling is YXU especially after the sun destination advertisements from London. A couple more possibilities are Porter Escapes returning or an order for the smaller E190 variant which would fit this ‘small’ yet big announcement.

They even have a countdown going, it must be something meaningful lol.

AC889/888 this week, it'll be back to the 333 full time after tomorrow.

Monday: AC889 full Y, 24/31 J, 19/24 PY; AC888 24/31 J, 17/24 PY
Wednesday (788): AC889 18/20 J, 20/21 PY; AC888 17/20 J, 14/21 PY
Thursday: AC889 full Y, 20/31 J, 14/24 PY; AC888 full Y, 29/31 J, 19/24 PY
Saturday (788): AC889 full Y/PY, 19/20 J; AC888 full Y/PY/J

We'll see how many WS cancellations pop up tomorrow with the FAs potentially going on strike starting at midnight mountain time on Sunday.

Today's cancellation count (so far): 2 - including 1 WS

AF 327 on gate 15 today, AC 345 on 28 and AC 888 also on 28

AC 341 to YVR this morning on the FIDS said it departed from the PD hangar. Surely that was an error on the FIDS.

NLU has a lot of space left.

NLU serves mostly domestic flights, no? Good for travel to Mexico but not so much for points south.

More PD announcement speculations - I saw on reddit someone said they are renovating YTZ to add more power outlets, but does that really warrant a 10 day tease with a countdown? I don't think so. My feeling is shifting to a E190 order.

Maybe but that seems like a lot of hype for something 99% of the general public doesn’t care about. PD do though have E190 conversion rights if they want to. If they said they’re purchasing 10 321XLRs, then that’d be significant.

Since it’s a little big or big little announcement, maybe they’ll finally add YOW-YUL/YHU connectors…improbable. Given that sticker appears to be at YTZ, maybe it’ll be to announce LGA is moving over to YTZ. They must be losing wads of dough on YYZ-LGA.
