True, but sadly the Forum "redevelopment" is actually downgrading the degree of facilities actually available. The new Forum is approximately the size of the Dartmouth Sportsplex with about 2000 seats, less than half the capacity of the old barn, while the second ice surface has no seating at all. The flea market hall is being kept the same. All for the low low price of what may well be $200 million by the time it gets done (they are claiming a budget of $150 mil but don't hold your breath). And of course reduced parking capacity for the on-site lot. I believe it is a very ill-conceived project. It seems more of a case of the bureaucracy serving themselves instead of the people/taxpayers who are footing the very large bill.
