Yeah I missed that one, as it was already scheduled for Sunwing. Wonder if a few other Sunwing only routes are now bookable with WS.

YYC-SAN Increased to 6x weekly
YYC-CZM Resumes one month earlier

I don't think the full schedule has been released yet. Perhaps the new routes will get announced tomorrow and the rest loaded next week.

I believe the only two direct Sunwing flights left for YWG to add on WS are Puerto Plata and Mazatlan, and I don't see either of these bookable on WS at this time.

I will keep repeating until the end of times (because I am more competent than ADM unfortunately). A future YMX terminal instantly becomes to go to airport for Montrealers. We all hate getting to YUL. Except for maybe people living on the south shore, getting to Mirabel will take you less time during the peak months from pretty much anywhere in the metro region. Kind of ironic since this was the main reason it was closed in the first place.

There is nothing instant about a new YMX terminal. Like I have said countless times before, the YMX ship has sailed. ADM will develop every square inch of YUL before they ever decide to bring back commercial flights to YMX.

ADM was stupid not to start these works 10-15 years ago. I think I have said this on here before, but I personally wrote to them about 15-20 years ago, telling them that the departure ramp is inadequate for the traffic they handle and should be expanded. They wrote me a nice reply, but didn't bother to do anything. Fast forward 20 years later, and here we are. The main culprit of all these delays is the departure ramp. Idiots. What can I say.

But like I've said, the plan at YUL, at least now, is sound. Getting there is going to be a b*tch, but once the REM opens in late 2027 or early 2028, the congestion will get better. And once the new arrival and departure ramps are fully built out, with 3x the capacity, we're going to be cruisin'.

Patience is key. But yes, ADM are dumbasses for waiting this long to do this work.....

Quebec mentality, what can I say. No long term vision. This is where airports like YYC and YVR are miles ahead of us. They have competent management that has some kind of long term vision.

YYC stats for June. A modest increase over June of last year. Domestic up and transborder down as is par for the course these days. The only surprise is international being down. June of 2025 there was the International Rotary convention with ~20,000 visitors, and also the G7. Time will tell if international numbers a trend or an aberration.

YUL handled 22.4 million passengers in 2025, and is growing at a strong pace, but technically it's the 37th busiest in North America going by 2024 numbers (not sure which rank it's now)
