8 am temp is 21 humidity is 68%. Air quality is 3, light smoke in the air. going up to 31 today. Was at the Heritage Amphitheater last night, hot but pleasant and remarkably few bugs. no clouds made for a very nice evening and music.

A couple of people have pointed out the year of the big Tornado our whether was similar to this year. lots of unstable weather and evening thunder storms.

Hot and hazy in the early afternoon. The haze cleared up a bit as the day went on.

I don’t know if everyone’s seen it by now but you can see the pyrocumulus cloud caused by the forest fire in Boston Bar here:

Some sun, some cloud, some haze and not as hot as the day before. Quite pleasant actually.

Thursday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 26 C (31 C w/Humidex), the low was 19 C.

8:30 am 18C at 76% humidity. Going up to 30C,. Air Quality is 3 going up to 5 then back down.

Had a good storm blow through around 3am had some hail in it.

Overall though it looks like a good weekend.

Been spending time o my front deck and the mosquitoes have been ok, May be because I have a Citronella plant on the deck.

But had a squirrel sitting a few feet away from me and was chirping incessantly. I got up and checked the bird feeders, went in to get some feed to fill them. Once done the squirrel hopped into them and shut up.

I love how the animals around my house have me so well trained.

Weather for Calgary was originally forecast to be in the 30's today and the next few days, but the smoke has driven the temps down a fair bit.

Air quality in Calgary is currently listed at 11, very gross out. Have all the windows closed and the air purifier going, not looking forward to going outside any time soon.

The hotspot yesterday was Lillooet, BC, at 38.5.

The warmest low yesterday was Lytton, BC with a very warm 26.3. Not sure if that is the warmest in Canada this year. Maybe Manitoba had a warmer night during its big heat event a week or so ago.

The hotspot today is Lytton, at 36.5.

27C with a humidex of 30 and mainly sunny.

Low of 16C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 36.5C.

Warmest low yesterday was Lytton, BC like Metro said with an absurd 26.3C. Highest low this year in the country.
