Daniel Adleman, an assistant professor in the teaching stream in writing and rhetoric at the University of Toronto, researches ChatGPT and academic integrity.

He calls AI an “epochal force” in our era.

Adleman said he is not surprised by Shelley’s conclusion many students cheated on the final exam by using AI. Academic dishonesty is “widespread across the education system and every occupation sphere” across the world, he said.

The structure is now mostly completed for the new Pathogen Research Centre (PaRC) building at Western Research Park. The exterior shell is getting the steel framing installed now and they have already installed large roof top mechanical HVAC units on the one story south section. I would expect the labs will have some unique structural engineering to create negative pressure air tight rooms to prevent any leakage or contamination.
