Would be funny if they laid off 1 person per store and this became news

Yeah seems weird I mean they just closed a whole store (or two?). 80 layoffs doesn't sound like much.

Michael Larson*, a long-time London Drugs employee, told Daily Hive that the 80 positions eliminated were full-time and part-time supervisors across the chain, at nearly every store.

Darn! Was selfishly hoping for the return of Mui Garden somehow. LOL. Was so disappointed to see the Daiso signage. Those other "conditionally leased" locations seem too small for much. Maybe one of them will be another bubble team place.

Good riddance. Now if we could just get rid of all the Tim Hortons...

The former Cafe Crepe space at Robson & Granville next to the Marshall's Best Buy entrance has a "Leased" sign on it.
Hopefully they won't reinstate the sidewalk patio there.
Pedestrian flow works much better without it.

Thanks. I thought I had missed something recent, or somehow connected to the closure.

Moreover, just connected with a bunch of planned store closures.
There's a bigger store fairly close by at Beatty & Smithe.

Aesop is opening at Richmond Centre and Kiehls will be relocating next to them. I think this will be the 6th store in the GVA.

Also Soft Moc is moving across the mall and will be across from where Sephora is or in that wing.

Reckless Bikes is closing their Fir Street location after 40 years. I'm surprised they'd close that instead of Yaletown which must be much more expensive (and harder to get to).

The Yaletown location is right on the seawall and always super busy.

But Yaletown will do more rental business from tourists (since there aren't many hotels near Fir)… if you can only keep one that may make more sense.

Is their main business rentals or sales/repair?
