a) Think of the children.

b) There was [insert no longer exiting building/facility] here in the past. (there may have been a racetrack near this site way back when.)

c) Shadows?

d) We aren't Toronto.

The map is confusing because plan N is actually true E.

Nonetheless, hopefully most of this will come to pass. Now that that piercey's lot has spent at least a decade as a sandlot, it's about time something happens with it.

It's exciting to see this corridor become a sort of second skyline. This could end up as a very high density node that would be ideal for a higher-order transit stop in the future, especially if the postal warehouse gets redeveloped in the future.

Young "Tower" (as if...) is on the SE corner of Monaghan and Young. On the plan shown in the post above, it's definitely gone.

Well, you may be right given that it is only 8 floors high - I thought it was much taller than that. I am still confused by the plans shown though. It seems hugely dense with little open space. And not all of those folks living there in the future are going to be using bicycles. Are they going to dig down for 8 floors of parking?

Meanwhile, the Esso gas station and the massively underutilized Canada Post lands continue on.

The Westin Nova Scotian is replacing both the canopy letters as well as the large red ones at the top of the tower. Curious as to whether the tower ones will light up.

Sounds like they're going to have one massive parking garage under the whole site, like Richmond Yards does.

Bragg owns FS Industries Limited, Young Tower, and all the land in between, so makes sense if it gets torn down for this.

Hopefully in one of the later phases though. As ugly as it is, the sea of gravel parking lots is way uglier.

Hopefully the tower signage will still light up. Perhaps it will now be white lettering like some other locations in Canada. With LED, they may be able to make it any colour.
