Looks like the bridge could be done this year but the cut looks like a year away.

Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta Series | Kicking Horse Canyon Completed

Video Link

Drone flyover of the completed Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 project east of Golden, BC, part of the larger Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta Four-Laning Program.
In this video, I take an aerial look at one of the most dramatic highway upgrades in British Columbia — the newly improved Trans-Canada Highway through Kicking Horse Canyon. The flyover shows the completed four-lane highway, major bridge structures, rock cuts, canyon walls, mountain terrain, and the realigned Highway 1 corridor.
According to the official project page, construction on Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 was completed on July 31, 2024, when the improved section of Highway 1 east of Golden opened to full four-lane operation with a posted speed limit of 100 km/h.
Location: Golden, BC
Project: Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4
Corridor: Highway 1 / Trans-Canada Highway
Series: Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta Four-Laning

I highly recommend watching my latest video about Kicking Horse Canyon. It is available in 4K resolution and 60 FPS, providing a smooth and immersive viewing experience.
I would also greatly appreciate your support by liking the video and clicking "Hype". Your support helps promote the channel and allows me to continue investing in better equipment and producing higher-quality content.
Thank you for watching!

Thanks for the video.

Nice to see the new exits looks more like interchanges with proper exit numbers unlike the Blind Bay segment, even though some part of the project are downgraded so there are at-grade intersection instead of more interchanges.

I see from the video, the Brooke Drive exit is labelled Exit 427 EB, not sure if WB have the same number (wiki have this exit labelled 428 though)

The WB exit to Sunnybrae-Canoe Point Rd in Tappen is Exit 465. Can't really tell if the EB is 465 or 466 since the drone is too high to read the signs. Given BC's past history of numbering exit, it might be 466 since it's about 500m away from Exit 465 and have a different road name...

Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta Series | Quartz Creek Bridge Completed + Selkirk Constr

Video Link

In this video, I continue my Highway 1: Kamloops to Alberta Four-Laning series with a drone flyover of two adjacent projects in eastern British Columbia: Quartz Creek Bridge and Selkirk.
The Quartz Creek Bridge project is now complete, while the Selkirk project remains under construction. This update takes a look at the current state of both projects and how they fit into the broader Highway 1 corridor improvements between Kamloops and the Alberta border.
This series follows major transportation and infrastructure upgrades across BC, with aerial views and construction progress updates from the field.
If you enjoy infrastructure, highway upgrades, and drone flyovers, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates.

This is my fifth and final post in this year's Highway 1: Kamloops to Alberta series.
Based on the number of views, it seems this series generated quite a bit of interest. Thank you to everyone who followed along and watched the videos.
I'm already looking forward to next year and hope to capture and share even more footage from this beautiful stretch of highway.
Safe travels, and see you next year! 🚗🏔️📹
