I hope they can pull it off.

They could also never get financing and if the building won't be torn down this year or next we'll be waiting until the late 2020s for this to even start construction.

If it really does exceed 500m it'll be worth the wait though.

If the US government funded skyscrapers and not wars this and many others could be rising right now.

But there has neen no news because there is no news. When news comes, you’ll get it. BTW, all the whining naysayers don’t get to celebrate when this begins. You’ve been canceled.
No one has more faith in New York than I do (though others may have equal faith). However, my comments were prompted by HappySlapCapper's comment a few weeks ago that the "tenant," who's as elusive and ambiguous as the Fair Youth and the Dark Lady of the Sonnets, might be backing out due to unforeseen delays in construction, together with the other poster's comment that the workers were told that there won't be any demolition through 2027.

I'd like to see RXR sell some of its properties to fund the $600m that it hoped that JPMC could assist in raising. It seems that the federal money is there if there's a tenant and the initial $600m.

I’ve cleaned up the thread. Now for a timeout.
