But either way I think transparent data collection and reporting is good. Some unknown areas might have good quality, and in the long run those localized water quality issues may be fixable. You can start with infrequent data collection and a warning that an area is "swim at your own risk".

Waterside areas in Copenhagen are well used. It's an active harbour and even though I knew they bill themselves as having the cleanest water of any capital waterside city, I was surprised on a recent trip at how many people are swimming, sunning, and recreating IN the waters on a daily basis - even middle of the day, work-days. On family vacation 10 years ago, we went to one of the fancy harbour baths (Islands Brygge) and it was fun... This time, I'd say the volume of people all throughout the harbour area was orders of magnitude higher. There was even a redbull sponsored diving competition off the roof of the opera house into the harbour. It honestly blew my mind a little
