28C with a humidex of 32 and a mix of sun and clouds. Actually rained very lightly. Barely above normal, none of the heat west of us has made it here.

Low of 20C this morning.

The warmspot was Armstrong, ON at 40.8C. Only weather station above 40C and naturally only one to achieve this mark this year.

Warmest low yesterday was Winnipeg (The Forks), MB at 24.2C.

Not much going on weather-wise around Vancouver. Nothing extreme, dramatic or record setting. Benign and comfortable. Warm and dry most days with a mix of sun and cloud.

Monday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 22 C (25 C w/Humidex), the low was 14 C.

Already 30 with a humidex of 37 at 10 AM. It's going to a be a hot one, but wouldn't be shocked if we come in a bit below our forecast of 37. Maybe settles between 35-36.

24C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 1 PM. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for this evening in southeastern NB.

This is the same system currently plaguing eastern ON and all of southern QC. There are already orange level alerts out for the Trois Rivieres region for severe thunderstioms and tornados. This is moving towards NB. The risk is higher in the north of the province, They are talking about torrential downpours, large hail thunderstorms and possible tornados.

27 today and looking to be 29 the rest of the week. My dog has figured out AC is best. Gardens are loving this.

Mosquitoes are loving it as well. As someone said the other day. When Edmontonian's complain about the mosquitoes you know its bad.

Some smoke in the air but not bad. this smoke is coming from Washington state. and only for short periods.

The River is still muddy brown but dropped to seasonal levels. 510 cubic meter a second or 4.4 meters high.

And the Rowing club dock saga. apparently it was cost effective to hire a picker truck and drive 150 kms and haul the sections back. 50,000 to rebuild and replace everything. They ended up floating the sections down another couple of kms to an old ferry landing.

Storm chasers are saying the conditions are as favorable as some of the biggest storms in the states.

Tomorrow looks absolutely insane, and that may be putting it lightly. I have a great memory with past chases and setups in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, and I don't recall ever having an environment here like Tuesday has. The ceiling for the day is huge. #onstorm #qcstorm

Tomorrow will be a challenge. The environmental setup and the chasing terrain. The environment is the equivalent to some setups I’ve chased in the USA, but with much more challenging terrain. This may be beyond my skill level, we will see. #qcwc #meteoqc #onwx #onstorm #qcstorm

I'm sure everyone still cleaning up from the weekend storms won't want to hear it, but Edmonton is right in the crosshairs for some potential severe weather again tonight.

Currently 25 and should get up to about 27 with a humidex close to 30. Very comfortable weather. Pretty much the same tomorrow, with more storm potential late in the afternoon.

Those of us old enough will be on edge right through the end of the month. But yah were are good for unsettled weather every night.

Ill make sure all my rainwater leaders are clear and properly directed tonight.

Update at 3pm, we now have a tornado watch for west central Alberta and areas West and north of Edmonton. Including St Albert and Morrinville.

30C with a humidex of 41 and smokey. Disgusting. If there is one I will not tolerate it's smoke. I am sorry it's not normal to have fires after the first scorching day. That's pure incompetence.
This is was supposed to be our warmest day of the summer with forecasted high upwards of 34C. The smoke completely killed that. It also killed the potential for massive storms. A lot of storm chasers from Ontario and the US made the trip and ended up going home empty handed.



Low of 22C (humidex of 26) this morning. Woke to a orange sky, not pleasant at all.

The warmspot was Toronto (Downtown), ON at 37.6C.

Looking at Purple Air this morning and the air quality looks downright horrendous from Thunder Bay all the way southeast to the GTA. The smoke coupled with the hot and humid weather must be the worst. Stay safe, folks!
