I believe it’s going into the portion of the Collier Center that previously housed the Park, an indoor/outdoor space that tried, unsuccessfully, to offer a variety of food trucks a place to operate. It’s on the east side of Second Street between Washington and Jefferson.

Yeah, it's immediately to the right of Ricemill/Taco Bell Cantina. And to the left of Tom's Watch bar.

News is a bit slower around here so, in other news, two recent liquor licenses that might interest y'all:

The former Angel's Trumpet spot will be replaced by a restaurant called Pinky's and the beautiful 2-story brick on the NEC 3rd St/Buchanan will become a dual pizza spot and bar called Otra Pizza/Better Days, one concept per floor--same guy who owns Churchill. The other brick building along Buchanan, sharing the patio, will become a bagel shop.

Sometimes you find little hints of things to come in the commercial real estate section of LoopNet:

The former Michael's Jewelers space is to be turned into a fish and chip shop.

A restaurant by the name of 'Cocky Rooster' is poised to operate in one of the corner units of the Rey at 3rd Ave and Fillmore (not to be confused with the Ray at Central and McKinley).

And here's the retail configuration of the Whitney:

Have a buddy who got to tour the space, remodel is well underway with booths already in. Speakeasy vibes supposedly, entry through Cornish Pasty. They want to turn the wall facing Central into a full-wall aquarium. Would be cool if they pull it off!
