Any idea if that was a last minute sub or was on the schedule for a while?

Today’s departure count: 86

I assume relatively last minute - FR24 still shows the outbound as a 772. But I guess swapped far enough in advance that they still have a crew here to operate the eastbound leg this evening. I recall the first summer AF operated here with the 332, there were a couple last minute subs to a 772 and the return flight got pushed to the next day, presumably since the same crew operated both legs.

AF 327 is 100% full tonight as you can't book a seat on it on AF's website.

359 F-HUVE is inbound: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/f-huve

LHR tomorrow is on a 788

Another AF A359 today (not sure if planned or not, sorry)! F-HUVO this time, yesterday's slightly younger brother.

Interesting - must also be pretty recent at the Google Flights link for the eastbound shows a 777 still. AF's flight status for tomorrow shows a 772 and Friday a 77W, we'll see if that holds.

MEX is now showing on PD’s route map. Now we have 3 unconfirmed future routes: MEX, YXU, and PUJ.

Porter at YXU is apparently just Cancun and Punta Cana, although the Transat Vacations site still shows them as A321's. I don't even see YXU on the map anymore like it was a few weeks ago, so maybe that isn't happening anymore

Did you happen to notice if MEX had been there previously? I feel like they typically announce new routes on Thursdays so maybe tomorrow it will be announced.

I never looked at the interactive map so not sure if they were ever there, but YXU disappeared from the static image map, and then maybe a week or two later PUJ did.

Porter replacing Transat for those sun flights didn't make sense to me because those packages always sold out. Unless the idea was to add days or multiple departures per day, then it would have been a serious capacity cut to make a straight up replacement from a A321 to an E95. Transat's website still only shows 2 days a week from YXU to the south with the A321, so my guess why YXU is off the Porter map is because these 2 destinations were the only plan for Porter here and now they are staying with Transat.

I have no idea what Porter's Q400 capacity is like now but I can't see Porter putting an E95 in London for anything other than maybe Vancouver in the summer, which obviously isn't happening this year now, so I can only see them putting a Q400 here to connect to YOW and/or YHU.

MEX was never there, I checked it a couple weeks prior. Take these info leaks with a grain of salt, it doesn’t mean they will announce anything soon. I remember seeing CUN was on that same map a year before it was officially announced (it was taken down a few days later), but it’s a good indication of what they are planning eventually.

Porter Airlines pulling out of Sudbury, Ont.
Airline will cancel its Sudbury to Ottawa service on Sept. 7

Jonathan Migneault · CBC News
Posted: Jul 10, 2026 2:09 PM EDT | Last Updated: 1 hour ago

Porter Airlines will end its short-lived service from Sudbury to Ottawa in September and will pull out of northern Ontario's largest city after 15 years.

Christopher Pollesel, the Sudbury Airport’s director of commercial development and passenger experience, confirmed to CBC News that the airline will no longer fly there.

In May, Porter ended its Sudbury-to-Toronto route.

Porter spokesperson Robyn van Teunenbroek told CBC News in an email that the airline cancelled the route because the market had shifted since the pandemic, and more people were driving the distance between both cities, or foregoing business travel for virtual meetings instead.

“We repositioned service to Ottawa from Toronto City in May, providing non-stop access to the nation’s capital and access to a greater range of connecting flights across our North American network,” the email said.

“We were hopeful it would lead to stronger performance, however, the results have not improved.”

Van Teunebroek also confirmed that the final Porter flight out of Sudbury will be Sept. 7.

The airline continues to service the northern Ontario cities of Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins with flights to Toronto.

Quebec-based Propair has indicated to CBC News that it is currently in discussions to add services from Sudbury to the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. The airline currently offers flights from Sudbury to Ottawa.

April 2026 DoT numbers are out, the final month for a ton of seasonal routes - PD's TPA/RSW/MIA/PHX, and AC's FLL/MCO.

Porter
FLL: 9533/12276 = 77.7%
MCO: 10729/12408 = 86.5%
TPA: 1098/1584 = 69.3%
RSW: 594/792 = 75.0%
MIA: 952/1584 = 60.1%
PHX: 1388/2904 = 47.8%

EWR: 3304/7176 = 46.0%
BOS: 2764/4602 = 60.1%

Air Canada
FLL: 783/1134 = 69.0% -- northbound 81.5%, southbound 56.6%
MCO: 228/378 = 60.3% -- northbound 36.0%, southbound 84.7%, not what you'd expect for the final flight in each direction

United
EWR: 8634/12070 = 71.5%
ORD: 11259/13170 = 85.5%
IAD: 10630/14940 = 91.2%

Jazz
DCA: 2203/3648 = 60.3%

Hope this gets replaced with YXU-YOW. Also, of course it didn't perform well, why would it when YSB had no connecting options in YOW which was the whole point of the route in the first place.

Yep was poorly timed. While YQG doesn’t have great timings either, it’s a much bigger market than YSB.

Today’s departure count: 88 - I think this is the highest post-March 2020 count for a Saturday

Today's cancellation count (so far): 1 - just a YYZ mainline to rouge tail swap

You can certainly see why PHX goes, while MIA returns. Even though MIA was weak, its trajectory was in the positive direction. You can also see why PD are dropping EWR to 1x daily, not just April, but the past several months.

UA to EWR that's uncharacteristically weak. For AC and MCO, it makes you wonder whether that's a data entry error and the directional loads were reversed.

On the domestic front, here's hoping the PD YSB flying gets reallocated to launch YOW-YXU. Flying times are roughly the same but with YXU being a 3 times larger market, so even if the sub-optimal departure time were to remain it should benefit from substantially higher O&D.
