NASHVILLE | 21 Platform Way S. | FT | 36 FLOORS

Nashville Yards, a 15 acre development on the west side of downtown, has revealed plans to build a 40 story, 1,000,000 sf office building directly across from where the new Amazon Operations Center of Excellence is beginning to rise. No start date has been announced, however the site is cleared and prepped for construction. No tenant has been announced for this monster building, but there are several office buildings going up in anticipation of large tech companies expanding into Nashville.

A few pictures...

This is U/C, the official height is 630 FT 43 FLOORS according to city documents. This will be the new tallest supposedly, beating out the batman building.

City Docs: https://maps.nashville.gov/MPC/2022DTC-013-002_plan.pdf,

The name is: 1001 Church Street, probably for amazon phase 3.
This will barely eclipse the new Pinnacle office tower, which is also U/C.

For updates on construction the UrbanPlanet Nashville subforum is the most active: https://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/topic...e-tower-35-stories-amazon-3-43/#comments

The tower is the one on the left, the tallest.

Nice, new tallest? Isn't there a 750+ foot tower in the pipeline too?

Nashville is starting to look like Austin, love it.

Yes there is, about two blocks away from the tower you reacted to, actually. And things are looking pretty good for it! We're more or less equal to Austin in terms of highrise construction, but Austin is far and away above us in terms of height and design ingenuity. Nashville International has a runway pointed directly at downtown Nashville, so it's unfortunately unlikely that we'll ever exceed 750 feet.

Nashville isn't talked about enough here. I was very shocked by how many projects are U/C or planned, am I just out of the loop? Not much is posted here except UrbanPlanet.

They've completed the underground parking garage on this one and area at street level. If I'm not mistaken they are waiting for some of the surrounding projects to finish before they start rising on this one.

Demoting this one back to proposed as the site is now a parking lot.

Oddly enough plans were just released for a revised and slightly shorter version of this tower, but who knows how long those will take to come to fruition, if in fact they even do at all. So yes, a reasonable decision on your part.

Here's the latest on it:

36-Story Office Tower Progresses At Nashville Yards

Quote:
Southwest Value Partners is progressing the design of another planned office tower at Nashville Yards. Situated at the corner of Church Street & Platform South, the new 36-story tower will rise above the existing platform structure, which was recently repurposed as a temporary parking area. The site address for the upcoming tower is 21 Platform Way S.

The updated submission requests modifications to the previous plan and demonstrates how it still maintains the intent of the approved DTC document as its design progresses. Overall modification requests include changes to the building height, additional parking spaces, and public infrastructure.

A request has been submitted for a major modification approval for the Modification Requests for the project site which is zoned DTC. Once approved, the request will advance the tower on the 1 acre site. The request was made by Gensler on behalf of Southwest Value Partners.

The previous proposal consisted of a 43 story, 800,000 SF office tower with ground floor retail and a similar architectural presence to the Pinnacle tower. The updated plans propose a 36-story, 954,000+ SF tower and maintains the ground floor retail activation. The overall finish of the exterior is generally the same, however, the vertical lines are more continuous vs stepped as shown in previous concepts.
