Western Rail Yards

My colleagues and I shared a letter with the NYC Department of City Planning outlining our thoughts on proposed modifications to the Western Rail Yards site in Hudson Yards. As our letter makes clear, we are eager to support the redevelopment of the site but will only do so if the proposal does this area, one of the only remaining undeveloped parcels of land in Manhattan, justice. Any viable plan must deliver on previous commitments made to the community and avoid any unfavorable impact on the greater neighborhood around it. I will continue working to make sure that Western Rail Yards is developed in a way that makes the community proud.

this is great news —

it will really connect & help liven up that rather sterile area.

and at least something is getting decked over around there.
