It's a still a bit cooler at my house due to Lake Erie, currently 33 with a humidex of 46. High dew point was 26.3 earlier his afternoon, and the low this morning was 25.3.

I have a ball game tonight, not looking forward to having to put on socks and pants and shoes.

Looks like the North Saskatchewan River peaked at 6.52 m with flows reaching 1,350 m³/s.

It was just a pleasant average day weatherwise in Vancouver, about 20°C and partly sunny.

Hot as f*** today for sure. Was at the Canada Day parade in Port Dover and it hit 36 plus whatever the humidex is… absolutely brutally hot. I can believe the humidex hitting 50+.

I spent probably 4 hours outside today, showered twice and went through 3 sets of clothes

My A/C has been struggling to keep up with it all too.. set to 22 and was hovering around 25 this afternoon.

I was up north and got home yesterday in 34 degree heat where my car promptly died while I was getting the mail.. had to figure out why I had no electrical power absolutely sweating buckets on the side of the road - luckily it was just a loose battery terminal..

A small rain front moved in during the afternoon which rapidly dropped temps. Hard to believe I am calling 31 cool but it dropped from 36 to 31 in about 15 minutes which felt like a huge relief. Down to about 25 now at midnight.

32C with a humidex of 44 and a mix of sun and clouds. Scorcher!!! Day started with more clouds, then cleared up for about 3-4 hours before clouding up again. Even rained this evening. When the rain started, the dewpoint was above 25C so it remained super warm despite it. One of the million advantages of humidity.

Low of 23C (humidex 31) this morning.

The warmspot was Toronto (Downtown), ON at 36.4C.

Warmest low yesterday was Windsor, ON at 24.6C. New yearly high.

The 49.1 humidex recorded in Hamilton today is the highest such in the country since at least 2023. That's when I started making notes so I have no data before that. I do remember a 50 humidex maybe 10-15 years ago but no idea what year or when.

Also this happened in Toronto. Never seen this icon before. Look at the wind and dewpoint below 20C (after 24-25C in thr hours before).

Yes I was down at the rowing club yesterday it was at 1300. its 1150 as of 5am today still some logs but pretty clear. What we would consider high but a height we would normally see in July after the heavy rains. Where the dock would have been was still dry at the top anchor. It was not half way to the Highest point yet.

The last high water event was 2023 when it reached 1280 cubic meters.
For perspective, the 1986 high water event peaked at 5100 cubic meter or 12.6 meter above normal. 1915 was about 1-2 meters higher than 1986.
1915 reached 13.7 meters or 5800 cubic meters per second.

The one I am watching is the Sturgeon in St Albert. I can't remember when I last saw or even if I ever saw the flats east of town submerged.

Saw Parks Patrol and EPS out on the river yesterday afternoon.

But to start July off right we had to have a great evening storm. lots of water pooling last night, no place to go.

29C (humidex 39) in Moncton at 11 AM and sunny, going up to 32C (humidex 41) this afternoon. Very hot out. 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon.

It's hard to believe given how wet our spring has been, but a burn ban has been issued for the province. I guess we need a downpour.

31C tomorrow and 29C the day after. The long range is mostly sunny and high 20s. Summer has well and truly arrived.

The edge of the heat dome is right over the city and all of the storms just rolled along it. Stalled and dumped a deluge.

They forecasted 40 percent chance of showers. Oops.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued. It's getting very dark out.

Scorcher, and soon to get a thunderstorm, then it'll be sunny and scorching again. Southern Ontario summer core.

The beach is moderately busy today. Yesterday was wall to wall.

Extreme SW Ontario is right inside the dome, it's been clear for several days with lake breezes, and I even noticed 0% chance of rain last night on the TWN forecast, but there are thunderstorms in the forecast tomorrow.

Today is so far exactly the same as yesterday, this morning's low was even the same, 25.3.

In Vancouver, it's rainy with a high of about 16°C today, things should improve after today with more sun and seasonal temperatures.

Let's be fair here, its's Victoria February, Vancouver March.

Also, after a sunny and dry May and June, that rain seems perfectly timed to lower fire risks in BC.
