^ Looks like a really nice park. I love it when there's a really beautiful park with water features and stuff right downtown.

If you go on reddit r/skyscrapers there is some pretty funny good hearted trolling going on about Toronto.

I suspect that some on this forum have been active there, but recently there has been a lot of Toronto skyline boosterism / posts and now that has made Toronto kind of an inside joke on the subreddit.

Take a look, some of them are pretty funny (such as inserting the CN tower into every skyline in the world).

Another screenshot from Emanulix drone video. The west face of the Downtown skyline has been growing the quickest over the last 6 years with Moon (x2), Relevé (x2), Vista on Sparks, Ascent (just outside the frame on the left), Marriott Renaissance, Odenak (x2) and the central library,

Some of the trolling/inside joke/hate is related to Toronto boosterism, but a lot of it is envy, in particular people from American cities like Chicago and some other cities like Miami etc..
You see the same kind of hate for Miami and Atlanta, Austin, though the hate for those is more justified.

^Yep, the fact that Toronto has 3 supertalls under construction (as well as a couple of dozen skyscrapers U/C overall) is too much to bear for some people in less vertically blessed cities. Plus, most of the people on that subreddit are probably teenaged boys. hah

Yesterday there was some insane weather while I was driving back home from the zoo. Black storm clouds above and to the west, blue sky to the east. A sheet of rain pouring down on Deerfoot and clear sky a few kms the other direction.

Late afternoon I would guess. That's usually when the black clouds of doom roll in.

That looks like the sky right after a thunderstorm in the late evening as the sun sets, very cool!

I'm ok with sacrificing Marlaina to appease the gods haha!

I'm hearing reports of minor flooding and very high rivers and streams west of Calgary, would love a week of hot sunny weather after all this rain!

YEah it blew in from Northern Saskatchewan / Manitoba when that low pressure system was trying to drown us.
