So using Geminiman logic...200 stalls x $120/day x 365 days/year = $8.76 million a year...and in a few years he'll have...

True, but I think TV is being overly conservative. Forks is open 15 hours a day? If a spot is occupied half that time at $2.50 an hour that still over $6k a year. Twice what a monthly rental would get you.

Looking at FNPs balance sheets, they net about $3m in revenue on $6m gross on parking.

There is a tractor on site 16, next to CityTV building, looks as though construction is underway, this is the 5th building to start construction.

Anyone know when we could expect something more than foundation work? Is the Forks holding anything back or why haven't the buildings progressed beyond that point?

I'm just as anxious, but I'll leave them the benefit of a doubt with patience.

Maybe it's hard to glean the vertical progress from the image. I haven't been to the forks in a month or two. But overall seems slow, which is on par with this development overall.

Maybe it's more a developer issue, The FRC building is humming along, the other three are the same developer, Burrows, they seem to be slow going, like their 350 River Ave development.

Work continues on restoring the Historic Rail Bridge as crews remove the steel structure that once supported the bridge's concrete counterweight. This marks another important milestone in making the bridge safe for future generations after its closure in 2023.

The Forks Renewal Corporation has submitted an application for approval under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for bridge repairs with a temporary platform over the Assiniboine River.

📍 Worksite: Historic Rail Bridge, Assiniboine River, 1 Forks Market Road, Winnipeg, MB (49° 53' 8.3" N, 97° 7' 45.31" W)

Members of the public are invited to submit comments through the Common Project Search Registry by July 24, 2026.

Visit Common Project Search, search Registry No. 15156 (Navigation Protection Program File No. 1915-600003), and follow the instructions to submit your comments.
