Falling down is fine. It's the staying down, rolling around, clutching their face that loses respect for me.

Not for real injuries. But 95% of them aren't real injuries.

Big day for sure. The nice thing is they are moving on to the next stage either way, but a win would be great. If they can play the next game in Vancouver it would be an advantage.

Even a draw will put the next game in Vancouver!

Just can't lose. I wonder if we will see Davies play today.

Jesse Marsch said he is available today, so my guess is we see him for 20-25 minutes off the bench. Depending on how the game is going will be a factor too

Terrible first half, came close to tying it though. Still moving through to the next round though...

That’s very unlike them especially since they’re one of the hosts.

Did anybody realistically think Canada would get a whole lot farther in the World Cup than this?

We are through to the next round, and will play the runner up of Group A, which is currently S. Korea. I can see us making the round of 16, but doubt we would go past that. Would take a major upset for us to beat one of the top nations...

I was there today, 10 rows back from the pitch. It was a solid effort at the end. Brutal tactics from our coach. But the players absolutely fought to the end. The atmosphere was just wild. Sucks we lose that, because it is so impactful. When David got the 2-1 goal the stadium never sat, the players amped up the crowd, the crowd diligently followed. We made the knock outs and as co-host we deserve that knock out at home. BS that it isn't.

I did. Qatar was always going to be an easy win. We should have defeated Bosnia. If Davies had bothered to play, we take the Group.

Davies was cleared to play against Qatar, and should have played against the Swiss. It could have meant a win or a tie, at the very least. If Davies does not play against South Africa, than serious questions need to be asked.

Alternagive tin foil hat theory.

He's been hurt, in recovery and so why 'waste' him on a game that had little risk from outcome?

Save him for the round of 32.
