When will this start? Commissioners and Wellington is already a mess, so ripping up the Base Line intersection will only make things minimally worse. I am surprised they didn't start both of them at the same time.

My guess is ambulances needing a somewhat reliable to way to reach Vic Hospital? Keeping an intersection construction free sounds good for that in theory, but since it's congested at all sides due to backup resulting from construction at another nearby, its kinda pointless for many hours of the day.

So a little bit of rain early this morning and no signs of any workers on the Wellington St BRT project. Anyone with a phone could see the light rain was ending in south London by around 8:30am but the contractors doing our road projects had already called it a day.


It's no wonder this construction is taking so long and behind schedule.
