I was poking around the site a couple of days ago and the stairs are open down to the first lower platform. Quite a nice viewing area, plus you can peer into that lobby-like space.

Man... this spot .. might be nicer than Kiwiki Point.

It's not open yet but I just nudged the fence earlier.

I have to wonder if they reused some of the roof cladding from Parliament Hill ? Very cool effect in its current state. Note the already shattered safety glass on the roof.

I hope they come back and address a few of the finishing issues. The stacks are so clean and sleek that any defect stands out clear as day.

Not sure how you would fix this. As they were bent in the press/brake they didn't come out at the proper profile.

No it isn't. The fencing next to the accessible staircase was suggestive at best. There was a body sized gap between it and the wall. Couldn't resist a peek, especially with the under lit benches in the evening.

wow looks really nice and high quality, will need to go check it out.

Also love that pic with the buildings reflected on the reflective material, makes it look like we have a skyline and tall towers and that PdV is like 60-70 stories!

The Cliff Energy Centre has recently been reopened with major upgrades. CBC’s Stu Mills got a look inside.

I'm still impressed that with all the nice new plans and drawings from NCC they keep EXPANDING surface parking on the Hill.

I'm disappointed there's still so much surface parking, but it's less than today. The ultimate plan still sounds like they want to eliminate parking completely eventually based on the Board Meeting discussion after they spoke about the Centre Block landscaping.

The little ledge behind the Supreme Court, accessed down a set of stone stairs. It was tree-filled and shady, with just stellar views, but the trees were iNvAsiVe and had to go, I guess.

Ok. That's too bad. Never explored behind the buildings before. Should have done that before the renovations.

NCC plans are good and there is much less parking in them, it's just for some reason those implementing them (PSPC) turn a blind eye and in this case added a couple of rows of parking to the existing lot.
