110 - 120 mm since the rain started. Still light rain this morning. St Albert Beaumont are all asking residence to reduce water use to not overwhelm the sewage system that is already at capacity. I find that telling since the stormwater and sanitary systems are decoupled. Even though Beaumont and St Albert are on opposite sides of Edmonton they both use the Capital region Sewage System which is NE of Edmonton and has just completed a Major expansion. On my drive to work this morning there was quite a lot of standing water and new ponds where there weren't any for years.

I live on a hill so rarely worry about water in the basement but I did have some leaking in for a few hours, during the heaviest rain fall.

Out for a quick walk in the ravine behind my house yesterday. There are a few trees falling over now that the ground is so soft. Ill check the river forcast later today and see where the flooding is. But NW of Edmonton Flooding was report all the way up Highway 43 to Mayerthorpe, About 175 km NW

By the time I went to bed at 2:30 am last night, pretty sure another 20 mm fell. Probably another 20 mm by the time I woke up.

Also, I think I saw 111th Street Underpass flooded last night. At least fire trucks were racing towards there. The stormwater ponds at Malmo Plain and Charles Anderson Park must be absolutely full.

Past 24 hrs, River level in Edmonton has risen from 540 cubic meter to 880 cubic meters and a level increase of about 1 .5 meters. Measured in the city centre.

Surrounding areas, SE of Edmonton has an evacuation notice for flooding.

The River forecast map is much better now, It even shows precipitation amounts. Edmonton Blatchford is showing 120mm accumulated.

Blackmud Creek is going strong. Normally 0.5 m³/s but now 16 m³/s. Went from 0.8 m to 2.1 m.

Well we do get a few days of dry and hot until the weekend. then rain again. And if its not Rain or smoke its mosquitoes.

I have a Gravel race in 2 weeks, its in BC and watch it rain that day.

and the river is really rising now. from my first post to now the river has now risen to 1040 cubic meters a second flow rate up from 880 and 24hrs ago it was 575

It seems to be peaking 1060 m³/s, but I think the maximum is 1100 m³/s or just short of 6m.

Many places on the coast were 30 to 33 today.

A cool down with potential rain will arrive on Thursday or Friday.

15C, a little humid and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 8 AM. The high today will only be 19C.

Rain arriving here probably within the hour and lasting overnight. Maybe about 30mm expected.

It's 13.2 on Bedford Basin at 8 am this morning. The fog is thick, the rain is falling and the wind is light. We've been having a very nice mix of sunny days and rainy days. Hope it continues this way throughout the summer. The forecast high today is 17 with the normal high for the day being 21. The sun will return tomorrow afternoon.

Some sun finally this week, followed by another rainy weekend. We have already had 197mm of rain this June, good chance we beat the all time record of 217 mm set in 1914. Mosquitos are out in force.

Ultimately a huge amount of rain will do alot of good for AB lakes that have been getting very low due to years of drought.

Yes around 11 last night it peaked. at about 970 now, Some trail damage on lower trails but not much else. Biggest hit was to the Rowing Club, The dock let loose and was swept downstream along with 5 coach boats. Last seen passing the Queen. ( that dock has withstood higher water over the last 40 years so it will be interesting to see why it let loose now). The club has been very good at adjusting and responding to high and low water levels. I suspect that the anchorage on the banks was weak.

It is nice to see all of the local lakes back up to respectable levels again. Pigeon Lac St Anne, I bet Wabuman is also up.

Getting up to 26 for a few days but then back into the rain next week. We should break the record for rain in June. 226 mm. I think we are at 200 now.

Going through Security onto my project site this morning and the guard was getting swarmed, so he signed me in quickly.

Lots of rain in Calgary recently, but seems to pale in comparison to what has fallen in Edmonton. Our rivers are still high, but nowhere near flood level. Looking forward to a few days of warm weather before the clouds and rain move back in.
