I wonder if making the Citadel a UNESCO site would actually move things in the wrong direction. The Citadel is great but as an overall site it seems a bit stuck in time. I wonder about using the slopes of the Citadel for thoughtful permanent infrastructure, like public buildings (e.g., a museum) with a green roof, so there's something interesting to do around the base of the site but the views from above aren't disrupted.

Back around the 40s or so I believe it was the site of the cenotaph (from the WW1 era?). It looked quite interesting.

Which tower is BMO? 5151 George? It looks like it went through some updates. One of the more attractive old towers in the city.

There was an old proposal years ago for that entire block wasn't there? Not only 5150, but also the former RBC building.

Yes! I found it!

Not sure how I feel about the look of this, but as per the reports above, it would be good if something was done to revamp or modernize the building.

Honestly? Thank god that wasn’t built. There is so much better that could be done with the space.

Yes 5151. It is looking better but would it be considered class A office space??
Probably not. They are trying together class A rates from a class B building.

Demolition permit has been submitted for 2164 GOTTINGEN STREET. It's a small 2'500 sq ft lot just north of Nora Bernard Street. Zoning allows for a F.A.R. of 7.5 so we could see a mid-rise go up here.

Glad they gave it a 7.5 with that minimal space. Who owns the adjacent lot - the old Native Friendship Centre? Looks like that one should go with it. And the poor old fortune donuts corner.

The Mi'kmaw Friendship Society owns 2164 and all the other buildings down to the corner except for the little old Vandal building. I wonder what they're building, my guess would be some affordable housing similar to the one on the corner of College and Carlton Streets
